I know I said I wouldn't get one, but the old ones are too attractively priced.

Anyway, with a BTC already installed, installation took under an hour. I put the knock sensor on the exhaust support bracket near the oil filter.

Sensitivity at 9:30-10:00.

No retard on simulated drag runs.

If I get stupid and floor it at 2000rpms, it'll retard 1-3 degrees at tip in and then stop retarding. Doing this in 4th gear can sometimes get some additional retarding around 4000rpms.

Normal "enthusiastic" driving doesn't elicit retard.

Zip's audible alarm works like a charm. (Thanks man!)

Anybody have any comments on using a Safeguard with the TPS/Relay mod? I wired mine up as directed, the the TPS trick also arms the Safeguard. They seem to play nice together.

Now for the fuel and boost mods!

I used the TPS mod on the J&S classic. Arms J&S quicker, as stated .. Tip in detonation was gone.. Only time I would get detonation is somewhat higher RPM and if engine is nice and hot...80-100 mph runs a few times on freeway will induce this , while emulating race shifting..J&S will impress you with its light show at this time. Then I let cool and I dont get retard until I repeat previous runs.I now have ULTRA v2 it works like a charm...I have to try very hard to make Detonation happen VERY hard...
P.S. I also you colder plugs "NKG-BCPR7ES-11"
